The Heart of Design
After two children and eighteen years of style experience, Poppy was eager to take on new tasks and return to her designer-maker origins. In 2016, she returned to the studio to begin her training at Morley College to become a jewellery designer.
Poppy’s jewellery has been featured in design and lifestyle magazines, made numerous television appearances on programmes like Afterlife and the Great Pottery Throwdown, and there are even rumours that it will make a cameo in Star Wars. It was immediately championed by UK galleries, fashion stylists, and design influencers such as Erica Davies, Kate Watson-Smyth, and Emmanuelle Morgan.
With a 2021 partnership with People Will Always Need Plates, Poppy’s appeal to her design-savvy audience was further enhanced. Her work received additional recognition in 2022 when the goldsmiths’ centre chose her to participate in Shine, a competition that celebrates the UK’s most promising talent in jewellery and silversmithing, hand-picked for their talent and skill.
