A genuine typographic alphabet fully designed by then 18 year old American artist James Thompson in rendition to the XXth century art movement known as De Stijl.
Meaning “The Style” in Dutch, this artistic current – which englobed artists like Theo van Doesburg, Piet Mondrian, J. J. P. Oud and Gerrit Rietveld – sought the integration of all arts into a uniform, simple, and elementary form of expression. It is also known as Neoplasticism. With a hint of Marcel Breuer’s Cesca or Wassilly chairs’ silhouettes, Bauhaus movement lovers will also appreciate its modern architecture style.
