Poppy Norton creates design-led statement jewellery from her workshop in North London. With a foundation in Product Design from Central Saint Martins, she went on to build an extensive career as an interior stylist, art director and trend reporter, working with high-profile clients such as The Guardian, Grand Designs Magazine, Channel 4 and WGSN.
After eighteen years in the styling industry and with two children, Poppy felt ready to return to her maker roots. In 2016 she began her jewellery design training at Morley College, marking an exciting new chapter in her creative career.
Her work quickly caught the attention of UK galleries, fashion stylists and design influencers, including Erica Davies, Kate Watson-Smyth and Emmanuelle Morgan (‘The Designerist’). Since then, Poppy’s pieces have graced Paris Fashion Week, appeared in leading design and lifestyle magazines, and made their mark on television through programmes including Afterlife and The Great Pottery Throwdown — with rumours even of a Star Wars cameo.
A collaboration with People Will Always Need Plates in 2021 further cemented her reputation among a design-conscious audience.
In 2022, Poppy received further industry recognition when she was hand-picked by The Goldsmiths’ Centre to participate in their prestigious Shine programme, which celebrates the most promising emerging talent in UK jewellery and silversmithing.
