Posterlad
Simple shapes and bold colours make Posterlad prints really standout. Czech designer Vratislav Pecka is the man behind the designs, he uses simple shapes and bold colour to create his designs that echo the Bauhaus movement and the works of Klee and Kandinsky but in a more modern style.
The designs of the posters, whilst in some cases are extremely detailed with layers of shape and colour, do not aim to express any thoughts or message, the designs have been created to capture the observer’s eye and captivate them. Posterlad does however include a thought evoking quote or description for each design which is an interesting juxtaposition when the prints aren’t intended to convey a message.
Each design takes the eye on a journey around the page, these are the kind of designs that you want to keep looking at and each time you will see something that you haven’t focussed on before. We have handpicked 20 posterlad prints, which are available in our shop and online. We have also undertaken the very difficult task of picking our top five prints for this blog. Each Posterlad design is printed on museum quality paper using the Giclée printing method and is 50x70cm in size.

Lapland has served as a sort of nebulous home base for Santa Claus since 1927, when a Finnish radio host proclaimed to know the secret of Santa’s hometown. Maybe this print features snowflakes and fun shapes which represent toys, either way you find colour and movement in this design.
