Nicki’s inspiration comes from a passion for drawing life around her. To satisfy her own curiosity she constantly seeks information and inspiration by researching subjects and gathering ephemera. Music, words, mood or even the weather can change the path of a single piece or series of work.
After creating a body of solar plate etchings during a year long residency Nicki continues to research and develop these ideas and techniques further, still working with her sketchbooks as a basis for handmade prints. She is constantly playing with materials and ideas but still keeping the integral influences of her training as an Illustrator within my work.
